Document Bank Botswana not only stores your paper-based documents. We are able to store all your data in various media, including back-up tapes, CDs, DVDs and so on. Specially-designed, lockable cases are available for the purpose of storage.
Each client supplies a lock per case, and retains their set of keys. Each container is labelled with a code unique to that client. Once a week (or at another pre-determined interval) the containers are delivered to the clients to which they belong, in order for them to insert latest back-up media. The Document Bank employee collects the updated containers and returns them for safekeeping in our state-of-the-art storage space. All data storage cases are stored in a climate-controlled, fire-proof facility. Computer media is housed in our blast-proof vault. The vault is equipped with an NAF III Gas fire suppression system which is automatically activated, should fire be detected. All fire safety equipment and installations conform to the standards set out by the ASIB (Automated Sprinkler Inspection Bureau of South Africa) and regular servicing and maintenance is performed on all fire and security systems utilised. Our staff members undergo rigorous training in terms of early fire detection and firefighting.
The Document Bank is also equipped with a back-up power system in the event that the mains power should fail.
We have a data delivery and collection service which is an ‘optional extra’ for our clients. Frequency of delivery and collection would depend on the type of business of each client. |
